Looking for a good excuse to get some exercise this weekend? Sign-up for the City to Sea Half Marathon and 5K Walk this Saturday October, 11th. The half marathon is a point to point event that starts in quaint downtown San Luis Obispo and heads south, continuing on beautiful country roads to picturesque Shell Beach Road and ending with a stunning ocean view. The race finishes in Pismo Beach at Dinosaur Caves Park. The 5K Health Walk is an out and back paved course starting at Dinosaur Caves. No pets allowed on the course, however, baby stroller/joggers are permitted in the 5K.

Don’t miss the 63rd annual Pismo Beach Clam Festival Saturday, October 17th and Sunday, October 18th. The festivities will be held in downtown Pismo Beach, with a parade on Saturday morning to kick off this annual event. Professional Copenhagen Bull Riders
The PBR’s Copenhagen Bull Riding Challenger Tour is comparable to baseball’s minor league. It offers up-and-coming bull riders the opportunity to compete in PBR sanctioned events while earning money to qualify them for the elite Built Ford Tough Series.
Once the season begins, the world’s top 40 bull riders have five Built Ford Tough Series events at which they will compete to secure their positions. After the fifth event, the bottom five riders ranked based on points, are dropped from the Built Ford Tough Series. The top five Copenhagen Bull Ridingsm Challenger Tour riders, based on Challenger, Enterprise and Discovery Tour money earned, are then allowed to move into those five positions.
After this first cut, the elimination process then takes place after each fifth Built Ford Tough Series event. A rider that has been dropped from the BFTS must compete in the Challenger Tour, hopefully earning enough money to regain a BFTS roster position.
Worth an estimated $1.5 million in prize money, approximately 30 plus Copenhagen Bull Ridingsm Tour events are anticipated for the 2009 season.
The 2009 Copenhagen Bull Ridingsm Challenger Tour Finals presented by Dickies will be held at Gwinnett Center in Atlanta, Ga., on November 21-22, 2009. $500,000 will be up for grabs at PBR’s second largest competition held all year long as the top Challenger Tour riders compete against the toughest bulls that the PBR has to offer!
